This was our second time renting and the experience was exactly the same. The view is so beautiful and was great to come home to after exploring. Just like last time, Eddy McDonald from Silver Creek Realty came out to help set up the TV. And just like last time, the place needs a good cleaning — webs all over the unnecessary chachkies, lamp shades, etc. It’s a long winding drive up the mountain to get to the rental, but, again, once you’re settled in, it’s all worth it for the view.

This is a great location if you like solitude and panoramic views. The cabin was well equipped and cozy. Do be aware that the last 1.5 miles of paved roadway to the top are curvy, narrow and have grades of up to 20%.

The best part of the place was the porch and the view - magnificent! We hiked one day to a view that we had every morning. The place was cute and had a good layout. It was comfortable except the mattresses were old and extra bed was very noisy. The drive up takes 10-15 min but from the bottom everything is close. Great location. Would stay again!

This property is secluded and has a beautiful view from the deck and also you can see The mountains just sitting in the LR. We were always so appreciative of the quietness of the property after a day exploring. The property management (Eddie) came right out when we had an issue with the TV. Be prepared for quite a drive up the mountain to the house and the turnaround you have to do in the driveway. Again, worth it for the location and view. The house is relatively clean, but it’s definitely time to scrub down the woodwork, window sills, floors and corners. Dust and webs. House has a lot of decorations and lampshades kind of thing that need to be wet dusted. That said, we would return. The house really is great; just needs some intensive cleaning.

House was perfect. Clean and comfortable. Everything you needed. Kitchen was fully equipped. Loved the deck and view. We ate all our meals out there. Drive up was easy enough. Do not need four wheel drive.

My husband and I (and our dog!) had a great stay at this beautiful cabin. The location was great, about 20 minutes down to Cashiers (tip: make sure you follow the directions provided as it was way better than google maps & saved us a ton of time - quick & easy road up!). The kitchen was well-stocked, we cooked every night & enjoyed some steaks on the BBQ outside one evening. There were mini shampoo, conditioner, soap in each of the bathrooms, very nice personalised touch! Having firewood provided was a great touch, and made for making an easy cozy night in. The deck offered stunning views! The welcome book offered restaurant suggestions & hiking trails. Check in was easy, with a coded lock on the front door.

After looking at several properties we decided on this one due to location and views. The location is close to the top of a mountain and requires about a 25 minute commute from main road to get there but it is worth it for the breathtaking mountain views from the wraparound porch . The house itself is cozy and well appointed, welcoming and pet-friendly . There is so much to do in western NC from hiking to waterfalls, biking, zip lining, shopping , etc. and this location was close to it all. The property manager was very professional and helpful in providing a list of things to do.
